A lot of people come to Pivot Sacramento needing help earning their high school equivalency diplomas. But that’s not everyone. Shamari R. had already earned a Bachelor’s Degree and started on his Master’s when he reached out to Pivot.
A former entertainment industry worker, Shamari lived abroad for several years before returning to the United States and needing help with his next step. With Pivot’s help, Shamari secured a healthcare job with the State of California.
He knows it’s never too late to transform with the help of an organization like Pivot.
“It’s really about your background and what you can offer,” Shamari said. “People at 60 are getting hired.”
